Our Story

Which is what we've been doing for the past quarter century or so. Longer when you add up time in those banana seats. Ah, fond memories of racing our buddies to the corner store for a Slurpee, catching air off plywood purloined from dad's shop, bagging dusty berms on the way to school.

Come to think of it, what we do now isn't that much different than what we did then: we let our imaginations roam, we work hard (at having fun), and we still eat our sandwiches out of Pac-Man lunchboxes. Seriously.

What has changed since REO Speedwagon rocked the charts? Bike-building technology and materials. Like all good gearheads, we went a little nuts (in a good way) when innovations like carbon fiber first flew out of the airplane industry and landed in our bike-building laboratories here on good old terra firma.

Since the beginning, our constant quest has been for the perfect ride, which is a lofty concept, really, but we've never been one to shy away from challenges, or those plywood planks. So before carbon fiber, fat tires, disc brakes, even before mountain bikes, we began not with the bike, but with the perfect riding experience, and built from there. Because as we learned a long time ago, it's not about the perfection of the conditions. And no matter how sloshy, frosty, arid, mucky or gnarly those conditions get, your Novara will be there for you.

It's our not-so-secret goal to get the whole world riding. And we also believe that can be attained surprisingly easy if, like, us, you're out there riding at every chance you get. We're here to help.
