The K2 T:Nine Trailhead mountain bike was created for women who are ready to explore the world of mountain biking.

  • Developed by the K2 T:Nine Women's Alliance Team, a group of five women dedicated to identifying keys issues for women riders
  • Sized to fit and tuned to perform for light riders, the 6000-series aluminum frame suits women riders
  • Aluminum fork with 70mm travel has soft springs, giving women the full benefit from the suspension
  • Drivetrain includes smaller 24/34/42 tooth chainrings and 34-tooth cassette for low-gearing hill climbs
  • Ergonomic, women-specific brake levers provide shorter reach and more braking control
  • Easy-to-use SRAM twist shifting lets your hands remain in a comfortable, secure position while shifting
  • Narrower handlebars enhance both comfort and riding control; grips are a smaller diameter to fit women's hands
  • Wide saddle with dual-density construction maximizes rider comfort and supports women in the correct riding position
  • Since lighter riders don't need as much cushion to protect the rims, narrower, lighter tires are used for more efficiency

After an initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly.
